Inter-school competitions
Learning and achievement extend beyond the classroom. Our students can explore their interests, develop their talents and challenge themselves through a wide range of inter-school opportunities. Throughout the year, students can participate in PSSA sport, debating, public speaking, academic competitions and other inter-school events.
These experiences help students build confidence, strengthen teamwork and develop leadership skills while connecting with peers from other schools and discovering new interests.
We encourage every student to get involved, have a go and proudly represent our school.
Our debating program is robust and highly regarded, providing students with exceptional opportunities to develop critical thinking, persuasive communication and confidence in expressing their ideas.
Students learn to research and analyse issues, construct well-reasoned arguments, listen to different perspectives and respond thoughtfully under pressure.
Through regular practice and competition, students are challenged to extend their thinking and collaborate effectively as a team.
Our debaters proudly represent the school when competing against peers from other schools across our network, developing valuable skills that extend well beyond the debating room.
Students have the opportunity to participate in PSSA and GALA Day competitions, representing our school across a range of sports and developing their skills through participation, competition and teamwork.
These opportunities encourage students to challenge themselves, build resilience, demonstrate sportsmanship and develop confidence both on and off the field.
Students enjoy competing alongside their peers, celebrating individual and team achievements and building positive connections with other local schools.
Through our sporting programs, we encourage students to develop a lifelong appreciation for physical activity, teamwork and healthy competition.
Our Chess Club provides students with an exciting opportunity to develop strategic thinking, problem-solving and decision-making skills in a supportive and engaging environment. Students learn to plan ahead, consider different possibilities and think critically while developing their confidence and perseverance.
Members also have opportunities to represent our school in competitive chess tournaments, challenging themselves against students from other schools and celebrating their achievements along the way.
